About
Kelsey currently serves in K-12 education. She has had the privilege to serve in multiple capacities in education. She taught as a classroom teacher for seven years where she strived to embed a strong classroom culture and safe environment that allowed her students to reach their full potential and become successful. She served as an instructional coach and worked with teachers to analyze data to drive instruction, build strong classroom environments, and facilitated professional learning communities. She provided individualized coaching sessions to positively change teachers' instruction.Kelsey currently serves as an assistant principal where she ensures that each student enrolled in K-5 receives the best possible educational experience and learning environment. She supervises student discipline and conduct. She assumes a proactive role in regard to conscious discipline and restorative practices.Kelsey is an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is passionate about trauma informed practices and the importance of relationships. She believes that a student’s sense of belonging is a fundamental need for every child, and it is essential to every child’s overall well being.
